What is the problem?
Despite significant advancements in technology, women remain underrepresented across the tech industry globally. Women account for only 28% of the global tech workforce (World Economic Forum, 2022). In emerging fields like AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity, the gender gap is even more pronounced, where female participation is as low as 12% (UNESCO, 2021). WEF projects 134 years to achieve workforce parity.

She Plus Tech is a global initiative, using technology as a tool for social change – support global development goals of reducing inequality, promote economic inclusivity, and propel gender equity. We do this by empowering women to make a significant impact through technology. By 2030, we hope to impact 200,000 women and influence 50 organizations to institute policies at enterprise level that foster equitable practices for women in tech recruitment and leadership

What does She Plus Tech do?
She Plus Tech is a global initiative, empowering women to make a significant impact through technology. We provide comprehensive tech education, advocacy, mentorship, and resources for innovators, fostering a strong network and community of women dedicated to driving change. Together, we aim to transform lives and inspire future leaders in the tech industry by equipping girls and women with tech skills critical for today’s job market while also focusing on advocating for gender-equitable policies and practices across the tech ecosystem that break the barriers of entry and stay for women in tech. Through a blend of free and subsidized, in-person and online training, mentorship, certifications, and career placement opportunities, we empower women from all walks of life to excel professionally in the tech industry. We do this across 3 core programs: SkillUp, Shepreneur+ and Tech Girl Colony; along with other events and campaigns within the year; with the sole aim of creating a space for women in tech.

She Plus Tech’s mission is to serve as a global nexus for empowering women through technology. We aim to provide an ecosystem where women can develop high-demand skills, gain access to resources, and connect with mentorship opportunities, enabling them to excel professionally and innovate in various tech fields
Vision
She Plus Tech envisions a world where women are equal creators and leaders in technology, using their expertise to drive innovation and solve global challenges. By 2034, She Plus Tech aims to empower 200,000 women globally with the skills and resources needed to thrive in the tech industry and also influence policies in at least 50 tech organizations.

Gender Equity in Tech
Our mission is to increase female representation in tech industries where women are currently under-represented. We hope to do this by creating leadership pathways and increasing visibility for women to gain useful tech skills and mentor others to do the same.
